Because No Child Is Worthless

Stephanie is truly passionate about ensuring each child receives a fair and adequate education. As a former student who had to fight a system that denied her access to a fair and adequate education, she holds this issue close to her heart. Stephanie believes that children and parents alike need to maintain an active role in their education. Through her personal work as well as her nonprofit organization, she fights to ensure that students and parents who are at greater disadvantages receive the best care and education permissible. Stephanie has fought against student discrimination, against lack of resources, and for student rights, improvement of policies and so much more.

In her new role as Board of Education Member, Stephanie C. Márquez-Villafañe aims to maintain balance within the political dynamic and the educational system, and will keep pushing until the correct balance is reached. She will not stop until every child has a fair and adequate education because education always come first!
